Help - Scenario Screen

There are three main things you do on a scenario screen:

Instructions

This information describes the task at hand. You may have to scroll the window to read all the information. Screen real estate is at a minimum, especially if you have a small monitor. Once you have the read the instructions you can minimize this screen. Note on the top right side of this and the other screens are three sizing options. You can minimize this screen, bring it back to its normal state or maximize and make this screen larger.

Topology

For each scenario a topology of a virtual network will display in the middle window. The topology will vary with the scenario presented. The following
information may or may not display on the screen, depending on the scenario:

Selecting A Device

Depending on the scenario, some or all devices (i.e., routers and switches) may or may not be selectable. You can tell by placing your mouse over a device. If your cursor changes to a hand, that device can be selected. Hosts cannot be selected. Single-click to select a device. Please note that a small red square will appear next to the selected device in the virtual network. This provides you with a visual reference as to which device has been selected. Also note that the device name will appear in the console title bar.

Console

This is the window where you interact with a device. Once a device has been selected from the topology, you are ready to display, change, or add configurations. The device name will appear in the title bar of this screen. You can maximize the Console screen and minimize both Instruction and Topology screens so you have more viewable room in which to work.
